Gloucester City have signed former loanee striker Bobbie Dale following an injury to summer signing Ethan Moore.

Former Cheltenham Town and Worcester City forward Moore joined the Tigers in pre-gcafcseason after helping Cinderford Town to promotion to the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division, but an injury means he is unlikely to play again this season.

He tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament at training just two days before the opening of the 2016/17 season, when he turned sharply and felt his knee give way under him.

A scan revealed the extent of his injury and with the expected rehabilitation period of nine months.

Dale had been training with the Tigers for the last few weeks following his release from Cheltenham and has been rebuilding his fitness after his own injury problems, which started when he fell on his ankle during a loan spell at Gloucester last season that had to be cut short.

As well as the Tigers, 20-year-old Dale, who played three times for Cheltenham`s senior side, has also been loaned out to Bishops Cleeve, Bath City, Cirencester Town, Cinderford Town and Farnborough.
