Rochdale youngster Nyal Bell has joined Chester FC on loan, subject to the relevant clearance.

He has joined the National League side for month after spending this week training with the Blues.

It’s the 19-year-old’s second loan stay away from the club after a spell at Droylsden earlier this season.

Manager Keith Hill commented: “I’ve not given up on Nyal. I believe there’s a talent there.

“It’s about maturity, it’s about responsibility and it’s about him being in an environment where he wants to improve.

“Too often, too many young players amble through life and amble through time until they get to a point where they’ve got to stand up and strive to achieve, or they end up still meandering and they end up just being a nice guy.

“Nyal has got a lot of potential and I just hope he actually realises that it’s about standing up and being counted and being responsible for your own improvement.

“I believe this is a great opportunity for him because I’ve not given up on him.”
