Southport’s upcoming game with Darlington has been postponed.
The National League North fixture, which was set to take place this Saturday (9th January), will be rescheduled following two positive COVID-19 tests in the Southport squad.
Southport have said: “The players reported symptoms on Monday 4th January and attended for a PCR test soon after. After consultation between our COVID Medical Officer, Dr Adele Farell, and the League’s Medical Officer, Dr Humphreys, our squad will now enter a period of isolation until midnight on Tuesday 12th January 2021.
“As a direct result of this, our match against Darlington on Saturday 9th January 2021 has now been postponed. We would like to thank Darlington for their understanding.
“We wish the players involved a full and speedy recovery.”
