Gainsborough Trinity have signed defender Liam Hughes.

Hughes links up with the Evo-Stik Premier club after leaving Darlington by mutual consent.

He becomes interim Trinity boss Liam King’s third signing, after Ant Wilson and George Hornshaw.

King said of his new signing: “Hughesy is a versatile player that is a good addition to the squad as he can play numerous positions. He has got bags of experience at the level above and the Conference Premier.”
