Darlington defender Jack Vaulks has today gone on loan to Evo-Stik League club Whitby Town for a month.

Vaulks, who signed almost a year ago, has yet to start a game this season, and manager Tommy Wright said:

“This is a great opportunity for Jack because he is desperate for some game time. The work on the training pitch has been done and now he needs to go and put what he has learned into practice.

“Whitey (Alan White) has been great for him sharing his experience and all the extra work before and after training.

“This loan is vital for his development and we will be monitoring his progress closely. Jack is highly- rated here and he will come back stronger for the experience.”
