Hyde United’s sporting director Darren Kelly has resigned from his position.
The club say that they have accepted the former Oldham Athletic manager’s resignation ‘with great regret and reluctance.’
Having took over as manager in 2016, the Northern Irishman led Hyde to promotion to the Northern Premier League’s top division in 2018. In a restructure at the North West club at the end of last season, Kelly became sporting director and Dave McGurk took over as manager.
The club say Kelly’s decision is purely down to family and logistical reasons.
