Tom Bonner believes his Dartford team-mate Ronnie Vint is destined for big things.
Vint, 22, has already made 117 appearances for the Darts and plays like he’s been around forever. The academy graduate has been linked with a move to the Football League and Bonner, his centre-half partner, isn’t surprised.
“I love playing with Ron,” he said. “I look after him a bit and try to pass on some of my wisdom.
“Dartford have done really well keeping him. He had interest from other clubs and if he gets his head down and performs how he can, I think he’s got a massive career ahead of him and I’d like to play a little part in the start of that.
“For his age, he’s so aggressive. If you look at him, he’s a bit of a specimen.
“One of the main problems when you’re young is that you can get bullied and you have to toughen up but Ron’s got that instilled in him. He’s always the aggressor and especially in the lower leagues that’s the biggest thing.
“When people watch him, they think ‘he’s a good centre-half, he’s strong’ and then they realise he’s only just turned 22.”
