Dartford moved up to third in the Vanarama National League South thanks to a win against Chippenham Town
Dartford gained a 3-0 home win that moves them to within two points of top spot.
Speaking after the game, manager Tony Burman told the club’s website.
“We managed the game really well, we didn’t chase things as lost causes, we were patient, we deserved the three points, we felt in the first-half we needed to get a bit closer to them, we did that in the second-half.
“We put a bit more pressure on their defenders later on, we had a bit of pace to the side as well, I’m just really pleased with what I saw.”
When looking at their league position, Burman says he has no complaints after a good start.
“We have played a fair few games since the start of the season, to be where we are in the table a win off top we would have taken that when it all began.”
They next face Eastboroune Borough, on Tuesday night with Burman knowing what to expect.
“The aim is the same for Tuesday, Eastbourne seem to have turned it around, they have made some good signings, from our point of view, six points out of six, with some more wins means we will move onto target.”
