Woking have signed striker Dave Tarpey.
The 30-year-old started his career at Henley Town and at the start of the 2014/15 season, he signed for Maidenhead United, where he scored 36 league goals in his first two seasons. In the 2016/17 season, he scored 44 goals in 41 league games to help Maidenhead win the Vanarama National League South.
Barnet, then in League Two, signed Tarpey from the Magpies in August 2017. Unfortunately, he injured his ACL in only his second appearance for the Bees, which ruled him out for the remainder of that season.
In an attempt to regain fitness, he had a loan spell at Woking last season, scoring three goals in just under a month, in what turned out to be a short but successful spell.
Tarpey told Woking’s website: “I’m happy to get the deal sorted. I really enjoyed my short time at the club during the loan spell and feel after a full pre-season under my belt I can show the fans more than what they saw before.
“The club is back where it belongs so let’s enjoy the season ahead.”
