It’s crunch time for Wrexham in the race for a play-off place and Andy Davies says the players have to thrive on the pressure.

Wrexham have four games remaining in their bid to secure a top-seven finish, starting with tonight’s clash against Ebbsfleet United at Stonebridge Road. Saturday’s 1-1 draw against 10-man Eastleigh, who equalised deep into added time, leaves sixth placed Wrexham just two points above Dover Athletic, the side immediately below the play-offs, and Davies says the Reds have to rise to the challenge in the coming weeks.

“You have to thrive on it,” said Davies. “It is an important part of the season, it is where we want to be, it is where everybody wants to be.

“We want to in the mix, in the play-offs, so you have to embrace that and rise to the challenge.

“Ultimately, go and get the victories that we need to secure that play-off place.”
