Ebbsfleet United manager Garry Hill had no complaints with the scoreline as his side bowed out of the FA Cup with a 2-0 first round replay defeat at the hands of Cheltenham Town.
However, he felt that the tie should have been settled in the first meeting.
His side enjoyed spells of dominance, but the Fleet couldn’t capitalise on their opportunities in the 90 minutes. Corey Whitely and Danny Kedwell came close in both halves.
“I’ve noticed (since joining the club 10 days ago) decision making and the lack of quality in the final third has proved costly for us, and it hurt us again tonight,” said Hill.
“But good luck to Cheltenham, I’ll take nothing away from them and their performance tonight. But we shouldn’t have played them in all honesty.
“Thats not being rude to them, but we should already be in the second round.”
