Nuneaton Borough have confirmed the signing of former Tamworth defender Joel Kettle.

A powerful centre-half, Kettle becomes the third Lamb to make the short trip along the A5 in the past 12 months, following Rhys Sharpe and, new arrival, Aman Verma.

Born in Sandwell, he joined Bromsgrove Rovers and progressed through the youth set-up before making his senior debut with Tividale FC, close to his home town.

“Joel’s another piece of the Boro’ jigsaw that we’ve completed today” said manager Jimmy Ginnelly. “We were a little short in the centre-half department, and I need that healthy bit of competition for places in and around the club.”

“I’m chuffed to bits he’s agreed to come on board with us, he’s a big, strong, lad and I’m looking forward to getting him bang at it with the rest of the squad, I’m sure we’ll get the best out of him.”
