Alfreton Town have confirmed that defender Jack Lane has left the club by mutual agreement.

Lane, who joined the Reds this summer; featured throughout pre-season ahead of the 2018/19 campaign and made three starts this season.

However, since the arrival of Josh Gowling and his outstanding displays since joining the Reds, Lane has struggled to break back into the side.

Manager Billy Heath said:

“Jack played three games for us this season aswell as pre-season and since we brought Josh Gowling in, his game time has become limited. Jack is a good lad, a great professional and has done everything we’ve asked of him.

“I hope he does well wherever he ends up. Jack goes with our best wishes for the future.”
