Outgoing Daniel Cowan has thanked Macclesfield Town for the support he has received during his time with the club after it was announced that his time with the Silkmen would not be extended beyond the summer.

The 20-year-old, who came through the club’s youth ranks, made his professional debut on the final day of the 2013/14 season and went on to make close to 50 appearances for the first team.

“Thank you to everyone at Macclesfield Town for the past few years I have spent at the club, it’s time for me to move on and push on with my career,” Cowan said via his personal Twitter account (@danielc782).

“I have really enjoyed my time here and the support that the fans, staff and players have given me has been amazing.

“We will see very soon where my future lies.”
