Chelmsford City have announced that Chris Dickson will be playing for the Clarets next season.

Dickson joined midway through last season but proved to be another key player as City ran all the way to the Vanarama National League South promotion final, only to be defeated by Ebbsfleet United at the final hurdle.

The former Charlton Athletic front-man found the net on twelve occasions throughout his 25 appearances during his debut season with the Clarets, including the winning goal in the BBC Essex Senior Cup Final, as he established himself as a fan-favourite with the Claret Army.

‘Dicko’ now joins the ever-growing list of players retained for next season, including the likes of Max Porter, Mark Haines, Anthony Church and Chris Bush.
