Darlington have confirmed that Will Hatfield’s dismissal in their last game has been rescinded.
The midfielder was sent off in Darlo’s FA Trophy quarter-final defeat to Hornchurch last weekend.
It was a disappointing conclusion all-round to the season for Alun Armstrong’s side, off the back of the National League North campaign being declared null and void.
On Hatfield’s dismissal, though, the club have now confirmed:
“The red card which was shown to Will Hatfield in the later stages of Saturday’s game has been rescinded by the FA after examining the video evidence (thanks to Quaker TV).
“It means he will be free from suspension at the start of next season.”
