American defender Taylor Rice, 26, who has experience of Panama’s top flight, has received international clearance to sign for Poole Town.

Rice`s family moved to the United States from England – (his Mother is from the States) and he played in the Hispanics League in Los Angeles as a youth.




His family moved to Dallas where he played for the Texans and FC Dallas and he finished his High School at the IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida.

After IMG he played at Limestone Collage a team that is 99% British – but left in December 2009 to peruse a professional career.

During collage he played in the US PDL leagues and left the DFW PDL team and the Texas Under-23 Olympic Development team to join Chorrillo FC in the Panamanian National League.

He then signed for fellow Panama outfit Plaza Amador in July 2015.

He has spent time on trials and development in Europe with the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Bari in Italy.
