Poole Town manager Tom Killick has persuaded defender Lewis Tallack to come back into the fold following an injury crisis.

Killick got away with fielding just two recognised defenders in his squad against Whitehawk last Saturday with Luke Burbidge and Corby Moore filling the full-back berths either side of regular centre-half pairing Will Spetch and Jamie Whisken.

He was expected to look to the loan or permanent transfer market for recruits, and may still do, but, despite 24-year-old Tallack deciding to take a year out of the game in the summer, he has come back to Tatnam to help out.

Tallack was due to play no part in the Dolphins National South campaign, instead focusing on work and studies.

And while Killick conceded he was disappointed to lose the services of Tallack, he accepted the departure of the ex-Portsmouth, Dorchester Town and Eastbourne Borough right-back.

Tallack made forty-six appearances in all competitions for Poole last season.
