SkyBet League One side AFC Wimbledon have recalled midfielder Tom Beere from his loan at Gateshead due to “personal reasons”.
The 22-year-old joined the Tynesiders on an initial one-month deal in February which was extended by a further month last week which included a recall option for the Dons.
And following Gateshead`s 2-1 win over Woking on Saturday in which Beere featured in the first half before being substituted, the Dons have exercised their recall option with immediate effect.
Saturday`s game was Beere`s first start for Gateshead having been a second half substitute in each of the six previous matches for The Heed.
Beere`s most notable contribution in a Gateshead shirt was setting up Danny Johnson in the 2-0 win over Wrexham earlier this month.
Gatesheads boss Neil Aspin is expected to bring in another player before Thursday`s deadline.
