Dorchester Town have announced that Callum Rose has signed a one-year contract, with effect from 1st August 2018.

The former Plymouth Argyle defender, who has started in all three of the club’s pre-season friendlies played so far, put pen to paper on the deal for the 2018/19 campaign following the draw against his former club at The Avenue Stadium on Friday evening.

Rose initially joined the club on loan from the Pilgrims in October last year and went on to become a mainstay of The Magpies defence, making a total of 31 appearances for Steve Thompson’s side last season.

He was voted by supporters as the player of the month for both December 2017 and January 2018.
