Dorchester Town winger Antonio Diaz believes the Magpies have been “really unlucky” in losing successive games to Royston Town and Stratford Town.

Diaz, who is on a month-long work experience loan from Bournemouth, made his debut for the club in the 3-1 loss at Royston, setting up Tom Blair’s goal.

Speaking to Echosport, former Weymouth man Diaz said: “I’ve really enjoyed it, the lads are good. I thought we’ve played well in the two games, we’ve just been unlucky.

“It’s the first time I’ve played for them in 10 years since I was an eight-year-old, so it’s good to be back and I think results are going to come.”

The teenager also reiterated his desire to develop himself as a player, citing stepping up into men’s football as “key” to his growth.

“At my age going into men’s football is key to my development, especially the physical side. You can do all the technical stuff but when someone comes in and smashes you then you really learn what’s going on,” he said.
