Solihull Moors have made a double signing by bringing in experienced striker Richard Brodie and young left-back Joe Payne.
Two-cap England C international Brodie, 30, joins on a permanent basis while 18-year-old Payne arrives on a one-month youth loan from Barnet.
The pair will come into contention for tomorrow’s visit of Dagenham & Redbridge (3pm kick-off) and have been allocated first-team squad numbers 18 and 36 respectively.
Two-time National League title winner Brodie is a prolific scorer who has amassed over 500 senior appearances across a 12-year career with 16 clubs.
The Moors’ boss Liam McDonald said: “Richard will add great experience to our squad and bring something that we’ve been missing. He’s a striker with a vast amount of experience and a prolific goalscorer who’s at the right age.
“Players like that are not easy to find so I’m delighted we’ve been able to work something out to get him at Solihull Moors. He looked fit and sharp in training last night.
“It brings another dimension to our attack as he’ll be a focal point and our other forwards will feed off the fact he’s a target man.”
Meanwhile Payne is a teenage talent on the cusp of Barnet’s League Two squad having made his senior debut for The Bees last season.
