Boston United snapped up goalkeeper Ross Durrant on a permanent deal from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ilkeston FC.

The 21-year-old has swapped the New Manor Ground for The Jakemans Stadium following an undisclosed agreement between the two clubs.

The former Nottingham Forest youngster made his move to Ilkeston permanent in the summer, having previously had a loan spell with the Robins.

He went straight into the team for Saturday’s 1-1 draw at FC United of Manchester.

Durrant is joined by 18-year-old Burton Albion defender Charlie Gatter, who enjoyed a loan spell at Spalding United earlier in the campaign.

He has joined the Pilgrims on a month’s youth loan and also debuted at FC United.
