King’s Lynn Town have completed the signing of central defender Tom Ward from fellow Evo-Stik Southern Premier League side St Neots.

Former St Neots club captain Ward has put pen to paper on a 18 month contract with The Linnets. Following his realase by the Cambridgeshire club who this week saw the departure of manager Andy Davies.




Ward who is 26 is a powerful centre half and lists Boston United and Gainsborough Trinity as his previous clubs.

Setchell said on the signing, “I’m Pleased to finally get Tom, I’ve rated him for a long time and he will fit into the great group we already have, he is a powerful centre back and I am really pleased to finally get the deal done before the festive break

Also joining the club On a permanent basis is Sam Warburton, Warburton had his contract with Nuneaton mutually terminated this afternoon and like Ward has put pen to paper on a 18 month contract. Setchell said “Warbs has come in and been nothing but professional, He does the job I ask him to do week in week out, His performances of late have been superb and he’s playing the wing back role for me brilliantly.
