Vanarama National League club Hartlepool United have made two new loan signings.
Striker Nicke Kabamba has made a switch to the Super 6 Stadium from league rivals Havant & Waterlooville on loan for the rest of the season.
Kabamba joined the Hawks in June 2018 as a free agent having left League One side Portsmouth in May 2018.
Twenty-five-year-old Kabamba joined Pompey in January 2017 from Hampton & Richmond Borough and was a part of Paul Cook’s squad that won the League Two title in 2016/17.
However, Kenny Jackett’s arrival saw Kabamba’s game-time reduce at Fratton Park and would subsequently have loan spells at Colchester United and then Aldershot Town and played a vital role in The Shots making the National League play-offs.
Pools have also completed the signing of experienced central defender Michael Raynes on loan from Crewe Alexandra, also for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old began his career with Stockport County where he subsequently made over 150 appearances before moving on to Scunthorpe United in 2010.
Spells with Rotherham United and Oxford United followed before Mansfield Town eventually won the race for his signature.
His next destination was Carlisle United where he played a key role as the Cumbrians made it to the League Two play-offs in 2016/17.
Raynes turned down the offer a new deal and the club captaincy at Brunton Park to sign for Crewe in May 2017 and quickly became a regular as he moved towards 400 career appearances.
However, he has made only six outings so far this term and Alex were open to allowing the defender to leave on loan.
