Guiseley AFC have made two signings prior to their game this evening against Macclesfield Town and it may yet turn out to be a hat-trick with another signing imminent this afternoon.

Paul Cox’s injury hit squad will be boosted by the arrival of Oxford City striker Mike Fondop and Young Peterborough United left-back Lewis Freestone.

The 6ft 3in Cameroonian striker Fondop signed for Oxford in August, 2016 after playing for Billericay Town and Whitehawk FC.

The left-footed 23-year-old player joins Guiseley on a permanent deal.

He signed for Billericay Town in 2015-16 season after being spotted by manager Craig Edwards whilst playing for Stanway Rangers.

Freestone, 17, is a rising talent in the Peterborough United set up and has four League One games to his credit.

The left-back joins Guiseley on loan after making progress through the Posh Academy.
