Nuneaton Town have made a third signing of the day in bringing in young defender Sam Warburton from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South neighbours Rugby Town.

Warburton had only signed for Rugby on a permanent basis last month after a loan spell with Valley for the first part of the season.

The 19-year-old left-back, who was a first year pro with Northampton Town, originally joined Valley on a youth loan along with fellow Cobblers youth product Danny Clifton in August 2015 under Gary Mills.

Warburton, who has featured at left-back and on the left of midfield, was released by the Cobblers at the end of his contract when he made his move to Rugby permanent.

Warburton follows 21-year-old Shepherd Murombedzi into Liberty Way.

Murombedzi made nineteen appearances for National League side Torquay United this season.

He can play on either wing or in an attacking midfield role.
