Dover Athletic are to go part-time next season, report Kent Online.

The Whites ultimately had their results from the current National League season expunged, after a severely challenging campaign in which the club’s future was frequently called into doubt.

Dover are currently in the process of appealing the decision from the National League to fine them £40,000 and impose a 12-point deduction for next season.

Chairman Jim Parmenter announced a few days ago that manager Andy Hessenthaler will be staying on for 2021/22, but the former Gillingham boss confirmed to Kent Online:

“We had a good meeting and we are certainly going to have to approach it a different way and go back to how they have approached it before really, being part-time.

“So we are going to have to go part-time, in a full-time league.”
