Dover Athletic boss Chris Kinnear says decisions over the remaining trialists at the club will be made within the “next week”, whilst not ruling out the possibility of further signings coming into the club.
The Whites won their penultimate friendly of pre-season in a 1-0 success against Welling United at Crabble on Tuesday night.
Before the game, it was announced that centre-back Tim Schmoll had been successful in his trial and had signed for the coming season.
19-year-old forward David Smith has also agreed to join, having most recently been on Sittingbourne’s books.
Liam Bellamy was also present at Tuesday’s friendly, but was an unused substitute.
With the Whites heading in their final pre-season friendly at Woking on Saturday, and the season set to kick-off in just over a week’s time (August 4), the boss is in the process of making decisions to refine his squad.
“This next week we’ll be making decisions and settling the squad. Again, if someone comes up that we like, we can bring them in as well,” Kinnear said.
Of the trialists at the club, left-back Jack Connors was the only one to play on Tuesday night. The former Ebbsfleet United man featured for the full 90 minutes of the victory in a left wing-back role.
“He’s having a look at us, we’re having a look at him. We’ll see where we go from that,” Kinnear added.
