Barnet have signed Alfie Pavey from Dover Athletic.

Starting his career with Maidstone United, Pavey earned a move to Millwall in 2013, where he would stay for a further four years. During his spell at Millwall, Pavey enjoyed a number of loan spells away from the club, including a brief stint with Barnet in 2014.

Darren Currie finally gets his man, and he admits he’s had his eye on Pavey for a while now.

He said: “I’m really pleased. He’s one that I’ve kept my eye on over the off-season. I didn’t think we originally had a chance of getting him but we’ve got him!

“He’s gained experience, he’s gone out and got goals and played lots of games. He’s a real presence for us which is something I’ve been after. He’s a good size, he’s a good age and he was really keen to come and join.

“I’m thrilled to bits!”
