Dover Athletic have completed the signing of former Barnet and Eastleigh defender Bondz N’Gala on a deal until the end of the season.

The 27 year old centre back left the Spitfires on transfer deadline day, only to see a move to SkyBet League One side Gillingham collapse due to FIFA regulations banning players from representing three clubs in one season.

The White confirmed that they had been in talks with the FA and the EFL, with the Football Association’s registrations department confirming that they could go ahead and complete a deal for the player.

N’Gala has now signed a contract taking him up to the end of the season, with an option to extend the deal for a further year.

N’Gala began his career at West Ham United and spent loan spells with Weymouth, MK Dons, Scunthorpe United and Plymouth Argyle during his time at Upton Park.

He joined Argyle on a permanent deal upon his release by the Hammers in 2010.

After a one year stay at Home Park, N’Gala went on to play for Yeovil Town and Stevenage, spending one month on loan at Barnet in February 2013.

His departure from Stevenage was confirmed in May 2013, when he moved to Portsmouth.

The 2013/14 season was to be his only one at Fratton Park and he joined Barnet on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

The defender became a record signing for Eastleigh when they signed him from the Bees earlier this season.

However during his time at the Silverlake Stadium he made only nine appearances, before being released by new Spitfires boss Martin Allen.

Now he will resume his career at Dover and the club revealed he could be in line to feature in their National League game at home to Wrexham on Saturday.
