Chris Kinnear says his Dover goalkeeper needs to put the errors he made in their defeat to Aldershot yesterday behind him.

Mitch Walker made mistakes for both goals in his sides 2-1 defeat at Crabble. Kinnear backed his number one and praised the performances of Walker, and the entire squad, up to this point.

He said: “That happens. We all have days like that sometimes and he’s had a great season so just has to move on now.

“Mitch barely had a save to make apart from one big loopy ball in the box. He called for it and everyone turned away and I don’t know if he got a push. He thinks he got a push from the forward and the referee didn’t think that and they had a tap in.

“Maybe we are playing with a bit of fear as we were unbeaten in six but only winning one of them. It’s that fear of not losing as being such a young and inexperienced side but we are still fifth and have got to clear our heads.

“I can’t say a bad thing about our players because they have been magnificent up until now. It’s a good experience for them.”
