Wrexham have completed the signings of former Welling United duo Nortei Nortey and Michael Bakare.
21-year-old defender Nortey was part of the Chelsea Academy, where he joined relatively late on at the age of 15.
He represented the former Premier League Champions at Under-18, Under-18 and Under-21 levels.
He was released at the end of his scholarship after five years with the Blue’s and joined both Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town on trail in 2014.
Shortly after, he joined Maidenhead United briefly before signing with Welling United on non-contract terms in August 2015.
The tenacious full-back was born in Hammersmith, London but holds both British and Ghanaian passports.
Midfielder Bakare started his career with Leyton FC who are based in Waltham Forest.
He went on to have a first spell at Welling United in 2009.
Bakare has tasted Conference National football with Macclesfield Town, Southport, Dover Athletic, Braintree Town and of course Welling United during his career.
After suffering an injury in 2014 while at Braintree, he bounced back by joining Bury Town to regain his fitness before signing at Welling last season.
