Dudley Town have announced the appointment of Dean Whitehouse as the club’s new First Team Manager.
Whitehouse joins the club following a highly successful spell in charge of Black Country rivals
Tividale, who he led to the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division title in 2011. He is no stranger to Dudley Town either, having had a brief spell in charge of the first team following the departure of Mark Kavanagh in the late 2000s.
The former Tividale boss will take the reins from current caretaker managers Ash Horton and Andy Arnold, who the club have expressed their sincere thanks to. Richard Taylor will join Whitehouse’s backroom staff team as player-coach.
In a bid to resolve their current pitch issues at The Dell, the West Midlands League have granted permission for the club to play at the Handrahan Stadium until the end of January. The club have not played a home game since a 1-1 home draw with Pegasus Juniors in
Whitehouse will take control of his new charges for the first time on Wednesday night as Town visit Nuneaton Griff in the Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup, before a league fixture at AFC Bridgnorth on December 9.
