Dulwich Hamlet have this week agreed with Roman Michael-Percil to release him from his contract with the club
Former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Roman Michael-Percil signed for Dulwich Hamlet from the Metropolitan Police back in March having previously played and made nine starts before the end of that campaign, including the playoff final defeat at East Thurrock United.
This season he has appeared in 16 of the Hamlet’s competitive fixtures, initially from the bench until his second half game-changing cameo at Hendon on August Bank Holiday Monday when he set up Gavin Tomlin’s equaliser after a turgid first half display from Dulwich.
The following Saturday he was chosen as the Dulwich Hamlet Player of the Match in the team’s comfortable 3-0 Emirates FA Cup – First Qualifying Round win away to Pagham.
Roman held his place in the starting XI throughout September until the arrival of Ibra Sekajja when he again dropped to the substitutes’ bench making four further appearances as a replacement. His final outing in Pink and Blue, away to Greenwich Borough in the Alan Turvey Trophy, was marked by his first goal in the club colours when he put the Hamlet ahead in the 10th minute before setting up Danny Carr to tuck home what proved to be the match winner two minutes later.
