Hampton & Richmond Borough have confirmed that Craig Dundas is returning to Sutton United to help solve an injury crisis.
Dundas has enjoyed being a regular starter for Hampton after he was reduced to a bit-part player at Sutton in his previous spell there.
Despite his 37 years, he was still one of the fittest in the Beavers’ squad, the club say – and that’s probably because of his daytime job, which is fitness coach at Sutton.
He finds himself in a difficult position as Sutton are effectively his employer and he works directly under their manager, Paul Doswell.
Manager Gary McCann said: “I have spoken to Dos about it, but the inevitable has happened. I’m far from happy but we must adjust and deal with it.”
