AFC Telford United have confirmed that Anthony Dwyer has left the club to join Hednesford Town.

The former Mansfield Town forward signed for the Bucks in July following an impressive pre-season. Dwyer went on to score 6 goals for the club but unfortunately found himself out the squad in recent weeks.

Dwyer spoke to the club website before his departure on Monday evening:

“I just want to say a huge thank you to AFC Telford United supporters for the love and support they have shown me this season. I wore the shirt with pride and was a pleasure to play for a such an amazing club.

“Unfortunately, I have decided to leave to get more games to further my career. I am going to miss the lads and all the staff and most importantly the great support.

“I know times are tough at the minute, but the club is moving in the right direction. I ask you to stick with the lads and the staff through this hard time, things will get better and the club will be safe.

“Come on you Bucks, I will always have you in my heart, thank you so much.”
