Russ Eagle has returned to Handsworth Parramore as manager.

Eagle led Handsworth FC to the NCEL Division One title and cup glory back in 2011/12, later returning to the club following the merger with Worksop Parramore. Prior to his Handsworth spells, he was in management roles with Alfreton Town (1996-2000), Maltby Main (2002-04), Belper Town (2004-06) and Parkgate (2006-10).

Last season, he was assistant manager at Sheffield FC, who achieved a play-off place in the Evo-Stik, while he also managed the Under-19s and 18s.

Chairman John Ward said of the appointment today: “Russ knows our club well and has a great affinity for the club and understands fully our aims and objectives. He’s had great success here before, where he showed a great desire to make the most of the excellent youth system we have here at the club.

“Russ showed a tremendous desire to re-join the club and from the minute we opened dialogue, he’s been chomping at the bit to get started.”
