Plymouth Argyle will activate the 28-day recall clause on defender Jordan Bentley’s scheduled three-month loan move to National League club Sutton United.
The promising 18-year-old was sent to Sutton to gain first team experience at the start of September.
However, despite a crop of injuries at Sutton, Bentley has been an unused substitute for their last three matches, most recently a 2-0 defeat away to Woking on Saturday.
Argyle manager Derek Adams told Herald Sport: “It is disappointing. Jordan will return to us after the 28 days are up.
“He’s not getting game-time and he needs to get that. That was the idea of him going out on loan to Sutton.”
He added: “They have got a few players coming back from injury and are now ready to play in the team.”
