Eastbourne Borough recently played host to over thirty Palestinian Students from Elac language School.

The students, had undertaken several days of coaching by Eastbourne Borough coaches, including club legend Darren Baker and first-team goalkeeper Charlie Horlock, in the days leading up to the festival.

The Students played matches inside the Priory Lane Stadium, against several Eastbourne Borough teams including the very successful under-14 girls and everyone had a great time.

The students will now undergo several more days of coaching by the club before they return to their homeland.

Bill Simons, organiser of the Event, stated: “This is the first of several events we are organising with Local Language schools, whose students come here to learn English but also want to play football and meet with other children.

“The Event has been a great success and we are now looking forward to progressing our work with several other language schools and developing our community involvement further”.
