Eastleigh have announced the appointment of Jason Bristow as assistant manager.
Bristow, who has been involved with the club through its scholarship programme for a number of months, will assist new manager Ben Strevens as he takes his first steps in management. In recent weeks, Bristow has been involved with first-team training since Andy Hessenthaler departed the club and is well respected and well liked by the playing squad.
“I’ve been around the club for a fair few months now with the scholarship scheme,” explained Bristow. “I have had a good opportunity to work with Ben and the squad over the last few weeks, I’ve really enjoyed it.”
“We have a talented group of players here and a talented manager in Ben, so I am really looking forward to it. Me and Ben have had a close relationship these past few months working with the scholars getting them involved in the first team and we’re looking for that to continue, so we have a very good working relationship already.
“The history here at the football club over the last few years is to now try and bring players through. We really want to continue and push on to make the players we already have in the scholarship programme feel a valued part of the football club.”
