Eastleigh Football Club have submitted plans to Eastleigh Borough Council regarding the improvement of the current facilities at the Silverlake Stadium.
The detailed proposal will see the construction of a modern, stylish, double storey building behind the north stand of the ground.
The football club has a number of temporary buildings on site which enable the club to run on a day-to-day basis.
These buildings, however, over the years, have become increasingly run down and are without a doubt in need of either replacement or repair.
The newly proposed build will allow the club to incorporate all existing facilities in to one area adjacent to the existing clubhouse.
A new club shop, offices, police control room, toilets, boardroom, ticket office and reception area are just some of the amenities located within the new structure.
In addition to the improved facilities above, the corporate hospitality experience at Eastleigh Football Club will be enhanced and benefit significantly.
The club will comfortably be able to accommodate over 300 guests on the top floor with unrivalled views over the north stand and on to the pitch through glass windows.
On the ground floor, a large bar and catering area will mean more comfortable surroundings for our fans, as well as those welcomed to the Silverlake Stadium.
Chairman Stewart Donald commented on the proposals, stating: “We are extremely pleased to submit plans to build a high quality replacement building at the football club. We feel that this will not only benefit the club itself, but in fact improve facilities for the whole community.
Rather than have a number of unsightly, rundown, temporary buildings that just get used on a match day; we feel a state of the art building, which is not only practical, but aesthetically pleasing, will add value to a broader range of people within our local community and improve the overall match day experience.”
