Hereford manager Peter Beadle says the FA Cup game against Eastleigh will be a benchmark to see where the Bulls are.

Beadle’s team will travel to the National League side in the fourth qualifying round on Saturday, October 14.

“It was never going to be easy whoever we faced,” said Beadle.

“Eastleigh are a well established Conference side that have wanted to push on, but for whatever reason that hasn’t happened.

“They’re not sitting that highly in in the table, but they haven’t lost many games.

“It’s not going to be an easy task, but it’s a game we’re looking forward because it will be a benchmark of where we are as a club and a team.

“They have got ambitions to be a Football League club and have got people there with a lot of experience.

“Andy Hessenthaler is there, who I played with at Watford, and their manager Richard Hill is similar to him – he knows the game inside out.”
