Ebbsfleet will climb into the National League play-offs if they win at FC Halifax on Tuesday night.

Fleet haven’t been in the top seven since August but their renaissance under manager Garry Hill has kept their promotion dream alive.

Victory at Maidstone on Saturday was their third in a row and it’s now all to play for in the final month of the season.

Hill said: “We have to approach each fence the way we see it and hopefully get a result.

“No game is easy in this league and we found that out on Saturday. We have to keep doing our jobs properly.

“We’ve got a position now where it’s given us a bit of encouragement, there’s no doubt about that.

“We’ve come a long way this season since the time I took charge – and that’s not down to me and Ian Hendon.”
