Ebbsfleet’s players met this week to clear the air after Saturday’s 4-1 humbling at Wrexham, report Kent Online.
They thrashed out a few issues among themselves before manager Daryl McMahon had his say. Once some strong opinions had been voiced, it was on with training in preparation for the visit of Havant & Waterlooville.
Fleet midfielder Luke Coulson said: “It was a hard one to take. No-one wants to concede four in a half and we’ve been told some home truths.
“We had a players meeting and whatever got said in that meeting stays between us.
“People said some stuff to other people, we talked about what we felt was wrong and then we had a team meeting with the staff to discuss what the gaffer had to say as well.
“It’s very important everyone is honest and what gets said in those moments stays within that changing room.”
