Ebbsfleet United have signed Coventry City striker Reise Allassani on a three-month loan deal.
Hailed as one of the game’s rising stars before an illness and a cruciate knee ligament injury checked his progress at Selhurst Park and then robbed him of a contract offer at Sheffield Wednesday, the highly rated attacker resurrected his career with Dulwich Hamlet last season, and was in scintillating form for the south London side, scoring 17 goals in 31 games for the Bostik Premier’s play-off winners.
At Dulwich he played up front in a two or down either side in a three-strong attack. Known for his pace, strength and ability with the ball at his feet – “a massive goal threat on the dribble” according to former manager Gavin Rose – he has an eye for goal and is also something of a surprise package in the air.
Fleet vice-chairman Dean Pooley said, “We would like to thank Coventry City for allowing Reise to join us and for the professional manner in which they have conducted negotiations with us over the past few days to enable us to get this deal done as soon as possible. Reise is clearly an exciting player and I look forward to watching him in an Ebbsfleet shirt.”
