Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will soon hit his stride for AFC Telford United after taking a big step in his quest for optimum fitness, boss Rob Edwards has declared.
The ex-Wolves and Shrewsbury striker has failed to find the net in three games after a debut brace against Droylsden in the FA Trophy in November. He did see out his first full match in a Bucks shirt as they drew 0-0 with Kidderminster Harriers on Boxing Day, though, and Edwards said: “That was the first 90 minutes under his belt, which was good.
“We’ve had to build him up and look after him a bit as he hasn’t played a lot of football over the past year or so. We know his quality and he possesses all the right characteristics that you need – he’s very determined.
“I’m confident that he’ll really start to show it over the next few weeks.”
