Under-pressure boss Rob Edwards has called on AFC Telford United to show ‘real belief, determination and steely spirit’ at Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow.

The Bucks are third bottom in National League North and desperate to bring a rotten away run to a halt. They have gone eight games without a win on their travels, and lost 4-1 to Avenue at home in August.

“We’re under no illusions, every game is a tough test – especially with where we are in the league,” said Edwards. “Every game is really difficult.

“They’ve had a fantastic season. The game at the beginning of the season was a game of two halves.

“They dominated the first half, we dominated the second but didn’t get the rewards. What we have to do is make sure we recover and go up there with real belief, determination and steely spirit.

“We need to show grit. If it’s got to be horrible, a grind and not nice, that’s the way it’s got to be.”
