Rob Edwards has confirmed his intention to continue as AFC Telford United boss after steering them to safety in National League North.
The Bucks’ 3-2 comeback victory over Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday did the job. There are two games of this campaign, one being tomorrow’s trip to Spennymoor Town, to go and then Edwards will be fully focused on building for next term.
“I said it on the first day I got here, I feel really proud and honoured to be the manager of this football club – my local town,” he said. “I don’t feel any differently about that now.
“What it’s done is give me a real insight into what it is like, life at this level. I think it’s made me better, made me stronger. I’m looking forward to the challenge going forward now, unless people above tell me otherwise.”
