Craig Elliott will begin the new year sorting out the futures of five loan players.

The Boston United manager has four squad members whose spells at York Street will come to an end this week, while midfielder George Green’s stay at Gainsborough Trinity will be coming to an end.

Jake Wright scored both goals as the Pilgrims beat Kettering Town 2-1 on Saturday. His loan ends after January 4’s trip to Bradford Park Avenue.

Elliott: “He wants to stay, I want to keep him. So we’ll speak to York over the next few days and see if we can get that sorted. I’d like to think they’ll let him stay as they’ve not wanted him, to be honest with you. I don’t see why that’ll change. I like the lad and think he’s a top player.”
